ATLANTA — The home of the late Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was burglarized earlier this month, according to police reports.
Included in the list of stolen items was a jersey signed by Tom Brady, an ESPY award, multiple football jerseys, thousands of dollars in cash, a hyperbaric chamber and multiple guns.
Police went to Thomas’ former home in Roswell, Georgia, on March 13 after Thomas’ mother, Katina Smith, called to say the home “should be abandoned and empty due to her deceased son,” according to police reports, but saw posts on social media from friends of Thomas showing a party at the residence.
Thomas died Dec. 9, 2021, at age 33. At the time of his death, LaTonya Bonseigneur, one of Thomas’ first cousins, told The Associated Press the family believed he died of a seizure.
“He had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering,” Bonseigneur told the AP in December. “We’re not sure when he died.”

Thomas’ former business manager, Peter Wright, told police that locks were changed on the doors to the home soon after Thomas’ memorial service in December, 2021 and that no one was living at the residence.
When police arrived, according to the incident report obtained by ESPN, an Uber driver was attempting to deliver food to the home and was in the driveway. When police knocked on the door, according to the report, a man named Malcom Daniels answered a side door and “provided little information” as to why he was there. Police arrested three men — Daniels, 30, of Wilkinson, Georgia, Vashone Jones, 29, and Perfect Robinson, 27, of Macon, Georgia, and charged them with criminal trespassing. Jones and Daniels were released on $2,000 bond, according to Fulton County Jail Records.
Jones told police he used to live at the home and returned on weekends to check on it. He also told police he was a “caretaker for Thomas,” according to police reports.
Daniels was also charged with purchasing, possessing or having control of a controlled substance — police reports list the charge as possession of cocaine after finding the drug while searching him. He was also released on bond.
No charges of theft have been made against any of the men in either of the two incident reports provided to ESPN by police or in Fulton County Jail Records.
